ROOT training resources

The following training resources have been developed for the ROOT.

Module 1: Overview

This module is relevant for all users. It covers:

  • Background information about the ROOT
  • Navigating the ROOT, including logging in, resetting your password and accessing the FAQ

We are currently developing and testing some new videoclips to support with using the ROOT. Take a look here: https://rcslt-root.org/Content/root-training-module-1

Module 2: Direct data entry

This module is designed for those using the 'direct data entry' method of recording TOMs in the ROOT only. This means that you will be entering TOMs for each service user directly into the ROOT. If you are unsure whether this applies to you, contact the person leading on this in your organisation.

The module covers:

  • Adding, editing and removing information about each service user (e.g. unique patient ID, gender, year of birth)
  • Selecting ICD10 codes
  • Adding, editing and removing TOMs scores
  • Locating service users already saved on the ROOT

Please click here.

We are currently developing and testing some new videoclips to support with using the ROOT. Take a look here: https://rcslt-root.org/Content/root-training-module-2

Module 3: Uploading data

This module is for services who are uploading their data to the ROOT. If you are using the 'direct data entry' method (Module 2), you do not need to complete this module. Proceed directly to Module 4.

Please click here.

Please note: This resource is currently in draft. Please contact ROOT@rcslt.org with any feedback or questions.
